Attend City Council Meetings

Community members may attend City Council and Council Committee meetings at Federal Way City Hall or join virtually via Zoom. Viewing-only options are available on the Federal Way YouTube channel and on Federal Way Channel 21. To request accommodations or assistive listening devices, please contact the City Clerk at least five business days before the meeting.

Submit Public Comments

Community members may sign up to speak or submit written comments.

Public comments must comply with the City Council Rules of Procedure

  • In accordance with state law, the City of Federal Way prohibits any testimony regarding any campaign for election or promotion of, or opposition to, any ballot proposition during the public comment. City Council Rules of Procedure prohibit any personal, impertinent, threatening, or slanderous remarks during public comment.
  • The meeting chair may interrupt comments that continue too long or violate the rules of procedure. No speaker may offer or donate their speaking time to another speaker. The meeting chair has the authority to preserve order and to remove any person from the meeting for disorderly conduct.

Council Committees include: the Land Use and Transportation Committee Regular Meeting (LUTC); the Parks, Recreation, Human Services, and Public Safety Commission (PRHSPSC); and the Finance, Economic Development, and Regional Affairs Committee (FEDRAC).
