City of Federal Way advisory body members serve as community advisors to the Mayor and City Council, offering insight and recommendations on important issues that shape Federal Way’s future. From parks and arts to planning, commissioners help guide decisions that impact residents every day. It’s your opportunity to represent your neighbors, share your perspective, and have a voice in local government!

Eligibility requirements for these Boards and Commissions are established in Chapter 2 of the Federal Way Revised Code. Appointments to most boards and commissions are made by the City Council at its regular meetings, following interviews of applicants. Eligible candidates will be interviewed by the City Council at a Special Meeting(s) to be announced.
