PROJECT SCOPE
This project installs rectangular rapid flashing beacons (RRFBs) at eight locations throughout the City. Locations 1-5 include RRFB's with overhead mounting and median refuge islands. Locations 6-7 include RRFBs and median refuge islands. Location 8 includes an RRFB with overhead mounting. This project will provide for enhanced pedestrian safety.

PROJECT FUNDING
The funding for this project includes a federal Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) grant.
PROJECT STATUS
The City terminated the contract with the original Contractor due to performance issues. The City is working with the Contractor's bonding company to get another company under contract to complete the remaining work. We are anticipating that the remaining work will be completed during the 2026 construction season.
