PROJECT LOCATION
This project is located at eight locations throughout the City.
- S 320th St at 1400 block
- SR-509 south of 16th Ave SW
- S 312th St at 18th Ave S
- S 336th St at 10th Place S
- 9th Ave S at St Francis Hospital
- SW 320th St at 45th Place SW
- SW 356th St at 18th Ave SW
- SW 356th St at 23rd Ave SW
PROJECT SCOPE
This project installs rectangular rapid flashing beacons (RRFBs). Locations 1-5 include RRFB's with overhead mounting and median refuge islands. Locations 6-7 include RRFBs and median refuge islands. Location 8 includes an RRFB with overhead mounting. This project will provide for enhanced pedestrian safety.
PROJECT SCHEDULE
The contractor is Reign City Services. This project is underway and is expected to be completed in the summer of 2025.
PROJECT FUNDING
The funding for this project includes a federal Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) grant.
PROJECT UPDATE
Constructing refuged islands and plastic crosswalk lines.
