FWPD strengthens community outreach efforts with BlueBridge Alliance partnership

What is BlueBridge Alliance?

They provide the framework, but the impact is entirely local. BlueBridge Alliance is a nonprofit that equips local law enforcement with a debit card program, which we leverage using funds raised directly from the community to provide immediate, tangible support to those experiencing a sudden crisis. The Federal Way Police Department proudly partnered with BlueBridge Alliance in 2025 as a new way to serve our community.

This initiative gives officers the tools to provide immediate, short-term assistance to community members in critical need—whether that’s food, essential clothing, fuel, shelter, transportation, etc.

The program supports:

  • Victims of crime
  • Individuals experiencing homelessness or mental health crises
  • Those at risk of entering the justice system
  • Members of the public who just need a helping hand

Our goals are to:

  • 💙 Provide aid to those most vulnerable
  • 💙 Build trust and stronger relationships with the community
  • 💙 Empower officers to step beyond enforcement and into compassionate action
